Big Jump in Unit Labor Costs = Inflation

Q2 Unit Labor Costs increased 2.1 percent vs. 1.7 percent expected. Prior number also revised up to 3 percent >>> all equals INFLATION. Oh, what will the Federal Reserve do? Market thinks they will remain hawkish, which is why the US dollar is rallying.

Here is something interest I read about seasonality in the month of August from JPMorgan Research. Take it for what it’s worth.
1) Looking back to 1990, WTI oil prices have risen more than 80% of the time in August, by an average USD5/bbl.
